We had an excellent family holiday Nd our stay at Zeohyros was great.Andreas and his team were very hospitable, always pleasant and friendly. The rooms are comfortable, clean and with an amazing view of Skala which is just breathtaking !Breakfast included local products like tomatoes, olives and honey.just fine for a good start to your day. You can enjoy other meals at the hotel which are great. We tried the ceasars sad, chicken burger, chicken fillet ala creme and special omelette ,all fresh cooked and super tasty! We would recommend Zephyros for sure!

Pool large enough to have a decent swim. Farm animals to keep you entertained and the staff very accomodating. Walk into town not far but don't walk back in the middle of the day in 40°c heat??

Family run Zephyros Hotel was such a great choice to stay at (mid Oct). The room was very clean and modern. A lovely balcony with racks to dry your beach towel and swim suit. The bathroom is super new and clean, the shower was powerful with (always) hot water. The room was cleaned daily immaculately with new bed sheets and towels. There is wifi and plug sockets. The breakfast was great, with a buffet of Greek yogurt and fruit, ham and cheese, boiled eggs, cereals and toast with jams. Tea and coffee etc. I think one of the best parts of this hotel experience is the family feel you get with the other guests and especially with Andreas (the owner), a generous and kind man who is always there to help. He put on a BBQ for the guests that stayed, it was one of the best meals we had In Kefalonia. The location of the hotel is fab, there are quite a few restaurants, shops and the beautiful sandy beach within walking distance, 10mins. If you have a hired car then it’s easy to tour around the island on day trips from this location. Lots of great things to say about our stay here, but overall I would recommend this and would be very happy to come and stay again.

We loved our stay- amazing view a nice pool and the staff was very friendly. A little walk to the beach but not far. Andreas is very helpful. He helped us to rent a car, taxi from the airport and we had a bbq together with the other guests at the hotel which was lovely. We had a great time.

Modest room 302 no bath plug. Just soap. Good strong shower. No pool towel. Kettle & cups but no provisions. Fridge, safe & air-conditioning. No television. Modest breakfast. Lovely large swimming pool. Short drive or steep walk to the beach & restaurants. Have stayed in other nearby booking.com facilities for less money and more comfort. If you like Modest accommodation this could be just right for you.

We have been here four times for 2 weeks. This family run hotel is friendly and an easy walk from Skala center and the beach. The facilities are solid and more than adequate for us. It would be possible to rely on the hotel for pool and food without venturing out, but that is not our style. It is quiet and overlooks the sea. Car hire is easy to organise. Skala offers plenty of eateries and holiday facilities. Tourism has left its mark on the island but without too much sense of damage. We found Cephalonia has changed little over the years, which is a big part of the appeal. The island of Cephalonia is; big, spread out, very hilly and quite varied with its complex shape. So, it is difficult to say where the perfect location for a base would be for that reason. Skala is a good choice though. The roads are OK, but getting from A to B is slow, as the roads are seldom straight or flat! There remains a sense of the area being inhabited for thousands of years and there are historical areas aplenty. However, frequently we felt we were in our own bubble with no-one else around! If your mobility is poor Cephalonia is probably not for you. Out and about internet and phone access is very variable as the terrain is so complex. Zephyros Internet was free but ~2/5 :-( but with our phones we were mostly OK.

As a solo traveller I felt welcomed and comfortable. The hotel was equipped with everything I needed. It was amazingly clean, and the staff were all lovely and helpful. Wonderful location, not too far from the sea, with incredible views. Would I stay there again? Absolutely!!
