D	Dana M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location is perfect. In the heart of Plaka, close to the Acropolis (20-25 minutes walk to the entrance of the site). However, the hotel is very ancient but not in a charming way. Facilities are old and rusty, furniture is heavy and musky in the commons areas and in the room too, the closet, table, etc, are all adjacent to one another so not much space. Bathroom is small and the toilet is next to the shower with an old curtain which felt unclean. You need to hold the faucet in your hand to take a shower... Breakfast is very simple - coffee, tea, one boiled egg and bread with cheese and some spreads. Would give up this breakfast for sure...the toaster and other appliances weren't clean. All of the about is pretty bearable for the location. Unfortunately there weren't hot water, and we had to call each time, then wait for the staff to fix something and it took 20-25 minutes for the hot water to arrive. They did try to take care of the problem but made us feel as if we were spoiled and complaining too much...

Just be careful with the room 110 which is not so good (noisy early in the morning because next to the kitchen). We booked online (hotels.com) at a reduced price without knowing that we would get this room.

Why stay in a two-star hotel when there are so many other choices in this wonderful city? Because the Acropolis House feels more like you’re staying with friends than in a stark, impersonal hotel! We wished we had more time here. Service provided by the owner and his family is friendly and we could not have been happier with the location - an easy walk to the Acropolis and two convenient Metro stops that provide easy access from and to the airport. Our fourth floor room looked out to the Acropolis on one side (see photo) with a balcony overlooking the street on the other. Highly recommended.
L	Lulu Jin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute and quaint hotel in a great location. The customer service was excellent and breakfast was simple, but good enough to start our day. Our bedroom/bathroom was very small, but we had everything we needed. For the price, it's a great deal for the location and room. If you're looking for something extravagant, stay somewhere else. This hotel is in the perfect location in Plaka, very walkable to the main attractions in Athens. It sits on a cute alley so it's also not very loud at night. We had a very early flight in the morning after our last night there, so the hotel specifically packed a breakfast for us the night before to bring with us to the airport. I've stayed in many hotels, and none of them have done that before. It was so sweet! Overall, we had a great stay here and would definitely stay again.
