Always use the flying Dolphin service to get to Agistri from Piraeus. Vessel getting a bit old now though!

There is no oxygen here =.= Doors to the toilet don't close. The unit we travel could benefit from its first cleaning.

There is no sign where the ferry will pick passengers up from and the directions we received from the ticket office were very unclear. The ferry also ran late. We and about 15 people saw a boat arrive with dolphins on it at the scheduled time of departure on our ticket. We queued up only to find it was was the wrong boat. In the space of 10 minutes the correct boat must have arrived and boarded because when we and the others raced to the spot told to us by the nice lady with the other ferry provider we saw the boat leaving. When we went to the ticket office the person was extremely rude despite us all believing we had been queuing for the correct boat due to the lack of clear directions/signs in the busy Piraeus port. There was not another boat until mid-afternoon. No refund was issued but we decided to book with Hellenic Seaways, so we wouldn't miss our island holiday. We had a lovely experience with Hellenic Seaways and would recommend them. Be aware there are boats called 'Flying Dolphin' with other ferry providers.

We had an unfortunate 'pleasure' to take this boat from Aegina to Agistri (10 minutes) and then from Agistri to Piraeus. (1 hour). While the short ride was somewhat bearable, the second one was a ride of torture. The gasoline stench reaches down your throat, makes it really difficult to breathe. Engine sounds are so loud that you'll have a guaranteed headache at the end of this hell of a ride. Best part - for all of that they'll charge you 17 euros per person. Come on! Let's not forget the black cloud of filth that follows this deadly water vehicle. If I ever come back to those islands I'll do everything in my power NOT to take this 'boat'.

Where do I begin… the worst experience ever. First, the ferry is old and smells like fuel so bad until you can’t breathe. We booked amd paid online the Flying Dolphins ferry for 8:10 to Velos but the ferry didn’t arrived. They didn’t told us about this change, the customer service is inexistent and basically we wore stuck on Skiathos island until 12:45 when the ferry arrived on Port. That was the real schedule … Our plans were messed up completely because of this. Very bad experience, don’t go with this company.

Very nice journey. I felt as if on a big plane ? the same space and sounds! It takes 2.5 hours from Athens to Idra. They check green passes carefully

All good. The boatis very fast and came on time. Not very crowded. There are only seats in the inside but with big windows for a good view. Inside its a little bit noisy but therefor it is a fast way to go to aegina. The staff is ok. You should be there at time because the unload and load is done within few minutes.

Ignore some of the silly reviews here. It's a good boat, fast and comfortable. Things to know though: 1. Can buy your tickets at the port 2. Allow plenty of time. It's a confusing place and the boat loading area is not clearly signposted. It's the dock area in front of the ticket office of the flying dolphins but you may have to ask someone. 3. The boat is yellow and loads and unloads very quickly...don't hang around as they will go without you.
