Beautiful island, in my youth I went to Agia Marina on weekends for fun and swimming, beautiful Years. This year I went for a pilgrimage to Saint Nektarios 3/10/2021 I wish His Grace to protect all the world. HELPS US.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ενας ωραιος κοντινος προορισμος στην Αθηνα ειναι η Αιγινα ενα ομορφο νησι με πολλες εκπληξεις. Ειναι μια ωρα και δεκα λεπτα απτο λιμανι του Πειραια με πολυ συχνα δρομολογια. Σιγουρα οταν φτανεις στο νησι ενυυπωσιαζεσαι απτα σοκακια γεματα μαγαζια και χρωματα και ολους οσους ασχολουνται με τα φυστικια και πουλανε τα προιοντα τους. Ενα μοναδικο στοιχειο του νησιου ειναι η βολτα με αμαξα και αλογα και το μοναστηρι του Αγιου Νεκταριου. Υπαρχουν και διαφορα ιστορικα η λαογραφικα πραγματα να δει καποιος και να γευτει νοστιμα πιατα στις ταβερνες του νησιου.
A nice nearby destination in Athens is Aegina a beautiful island with many surprises. It is an hour and ten minutes tangible port of Piraeus with very frequent itineraries. Surely when you arrive on the island you are impressed by the tangible alleys full of shops and colors and all those who deal with peanuts and sell their products. A unique element of the island is the carriage ride and the monastery of Agios Nektarios. There are also various historical or folklore things for one to see and taste delicious dishes in the taverns of the island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Πανέμορφο νησί μόλις μια ανάσα απο Αθήνα και το λιμάνι τον Πειραιά. Θυμίζει κάτι απο την δεκαετία του ´90 στην Ελλάδα. Ωραία άπειρα καφέ με πολύ κόσμο,φανταστικό φαγητό στην Πέρδικα, βόλτες στο λιμάνι και πεντανόστιμα τοπικά προϊόντα απο φυστίκι Αιγίνης. Τα καΐκια με μαναβική που δεν θα το δείς σε άλλο νησί και οι φιλόξενοι κάτοικοί του. Επισκεφτείτε οπωσδήποτε τον Ναό της Αφαίας και τον Ιερό ναό του Αγίου Νεκταρίου. Must do βόλτα με την άμαξα στην βραδινή περατζάδα της Αίγινας.!!
Beautiful island just a breath away from Athens and the port of Piraeus. It is reminiscent of something from the 90's in Greece. Nice infinite coffee with a lot of people, fantastic food in Perdika, walks in the port and delicious local products from Aegina peanuts. The grocery boats that you will not see on another island and its hospitable inhabitants. Be sure to visit the Temple of Aphaia and the Holy Temple of Agios Nektarios. Must do ride with the carriage in the night parade of Aegina. !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I purchased tickets online and was never sent return tickets back to Athens from Aegina. Even though I showed them proof of purchase and the only tickets I received, they would not issue me and my friends return tickets nor would they direct us to customer service line. I spent another 40 euros on top of the 60 euros I already paid for the tickets. To this day, I haven’t gotten a refund. These people are horrible scammers with no class. Don’t go to aegina.
