Me and partner found this monastery by accident and it was a good find...interesting museum with lots of old artifacts and you can try the wines before you buy..staff very pleasant and good wine.

Place is beautiful but wine tasking was so unorganized. People just rushing to get wines and stuff from the counter. Would be nice to have that typical wine tasting procedure where ppl are sitting on tables...

A beautiful place to visit in Chania, conveniently located next to the airport. Peaceful atmosphere, friendly people, beautiful scenery. The wine tasting is a cherry on top of everything - I found my favorite Cretan wine here.

We visited this wonderful place today. The Monastery is nice; the Winery is fantastic, since You can see the barrels containing the wine. What is really fantastic is the group of dramatically slim cats living in the area around the Monaster. Please, if You plan to visit this place, bring with You some wet food for them; actually inside the Monastery they can find a few dry food, but wet gave to a couple of them an envelope of wet food and they really appreciated a lot: for one day of their life they could eat something special. Of course don't forget to cherish them a little. I would also suggest to the Winery Shop to put on sale that kind of food: I guess that many people will be glad to buy a few to offer to the cats. Last but not least, if You arrived there You can surely go further to the Gouvernetou Monastery, a couple of chilometers over, along the same way. Thanks in advance for helping those cats.

After visiting the Agia Triada Monastery, we also visited the winery to try the locally produced wines, olive oils and Cretan specialties - all of which were very good and tasty! We especially liked the balsamic vinegar creme with orange peel. We took along some wine as a souvenir and will surely think back to our visit at Agia Triada when we enjoy it.

The Agia Triada monastery was built by the Venetian nobles and is one richest and most beautiful monasteries in Crete. When you visit this place you'll be surprised by an incredibly well-preserved and vibrant monastery that produces and exports organic olive oil, wine, honey, vinegar and olive oil soap. Please be respectful when you visit and do not litter the place, thank you.
