Amazing place. One of the most beautiful monasteries in Crete. Definitely a place to visit while on our island. And there is a cellar with monastery wine;)

A beautiful charming monastery, few minutes away from Chania airport. It needs around 20min to visit and it also has a wine and olives shop. Enjoyed discovering this little gem

It's far away from other attractions but it's worthy to come here. Super photographic spot, especially before season. I think it's better to visit this place in the morning during the season, it will be not so crowded. P.s You have to see the room with in the right upper corner with skulls and bones ?

So much beauty in this place! If you want a wine tasting you must call a day in advance. The museum is a can't miss, with scrolls from the 12th century and 5th century coins. The monks were not crazy about the dress code. Some in our group had shorts on and many others in attendance were dressed casually but respectfully.

Hands down the most beautiful monastery I have ever seen. It's not very big but it's a place that breathes peace and tranquility. The plants and flower on the inner courts are just stunning. Make sure to visit the monastery around the times when the monks are having a service. You can join the service, where the monks start to chant, just be quiet and respectful (!) and enjoy the service. You can go to the rooftops of some buidings where the views over the gardens and fields are amazing. The monks also have a small shop where you can buy the self made products like olive oil. There is also a small museum that is worth a visit. The entrance fee is small, and even if it wasn't , it's more than worthwhile! If you haven't visited this monastry you are missing out on something you'll never forget, it's a must-see!

Scenic, historical, holy. You can feel the sanctity of this place when you enter through its doors. Go to the top of the bell tower and view Crete in all of its glory. A good selection of products like wine, olive oil and herbs produced on the monasteries lands. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit!
