Had some good trips from here but was left standing at pick up point for one and no one turned up, re-scheduled for our last night there and again received a call to say its cancelled as they using their bus elsewhere, put a right dampener on our stay as it was our gift shopping trip and ended up with nothing? Thank you Kelly, We had allready done that boat trip with you and wanted to see the town at night and to do gift shopping and opted for the quicker bus route, the Thurs evening was our last chance as we were flying Fri morning, you cancelled the Thursday one saying you had no buses as they were being used for the festival, thank you for trying other company's for us, did you not know you would have no bus that evening when we rearranged it, all in all had some great excursions with you and just wish this had happened the first week as we could have gone the 2nd one then

The office is near the Three Little Pigs bar restaraunt on the main road in Sidari. Barbara was very helpful sorting out the trips we wanted to take. We went on the Albania trip , we knew it would be a long day, it started at 7.30 and we arrived back at 9pm. But what a trip. We were taken by a feeder bus to meet up with the main coach that took us to the Ionian Cruises Hydrofoil. The boat trip was about 40 mins, we were met by our Albanian coach and guide. We were taken to a restaurant to buy drinks, we also can recommend the cakes, we had the honey cake and the Apple cake, they were very good and very reasonable. Then we were taken to Butrinti to visit the world heritage site, it is a nearly two hour tour with the guide stopping at intervals to explain the significant buildings and the history of the site, luckily there is quite a lot of tree cover as it was a very hot day. We then went back to the restaurant where a lovely substantial buffet lunch was provided, this was included in the cost of the trip, drinks were extra but very reasonable. We were then taken to the Blue Eye Springs another amazing place, a powerful underwater spring, the area was beautiful, like a sub tropical paradise. We then returned to Sarande where we had some free time. We took the advice of the guide and walked down to the sea and went to restaraunt renowned for its desserts, the trelece and the cheesecake were very good and the prices were excellent. A great trip which will probably change your preconceptions of Albania.

Lousy trips - avoid if possible. We booked a "La Grotta + Bella Vista" trip. When we turned up in the morning we were told that the bus driver had come down sick, no replacement, no trip, we re-booked for another day. The lady working there was kind enough to call a car rental and find us an available car for the day. Two days later we took the trip. The bus driver dropped us off at La Grotta, and probably forgot to pick us up for the Bella Vista part of the trip. When we asked why we didn't go to Bella Vista he told us there had been a mountain fire and that's why we couldn't go. Next day we went on another excursion with another company, and behold, we visited Bella Vista which was of course perfectly intact, in fact it turned out that it was just above La Grotta, so we would have noticed had there been a mountain fire there... We thought the bus driver's shameless lie was really scandalous so we visited the same lady at the agency and told her what had happened and requested a 2 EUR/person refund as a simple bus trip to the area without visiting Bella Vista would have been that much cheaper. She was awfully sorry to hear our story and then told us that she couldn't help us because she has to contact headquarters for a refund and all the telephone lines are down due to an alleged power cut. We went back a couple of hours later - still no communication possible, although electricity has been restored everywhere. Two days earlier she could use her mobile to call the car rental, but it wasn't quite so important now to stay on good terms with us... We were not really in the mood to fight over 2x2 EUR, but we definitely recommend everybody to keep away from Alpha Kappa Travel they seem to have difficulties with telling the truth.
