Lovely place, cozy and quiet, perfect for vacation. Apartments are very nice. Cleanliness - top. Everything is much much more beautiful than a picture can tell.

We were greeted with a nice "what are you doing here??" upon arriving, which was less than pleasant to say the least. The host did not provide dishwashing soap and a sponge. When we called to enquire about it, she made the remark that we "have to wash the dishes because it makes the apartment smell bad", even though we were never given anything to wash them with. She agreed to give us some in the end. When we made a remark on that and told her we should have given us some, she went on saying how she "is not obliged to do this, or even to clean the rooms, for that matter". When we paid, she laughed and called one of us a cheapskate when we were discussing how we would split it between us. Every encounter with the host was simply a horrible experience. Edit: A few days after posting the review, the owner called sarcastically "thanking us" for the review we posted, then threatened to prosecute me for defamation. I would have never imagined that such a thing would happen. Instead of taking it constructively, the owner lashed out at us

Summary: Refusal correct their own mistake with booking, TOURIST TAX First I would like say how beautiful the place is and it is unfortunate that I had such a poor experience with the owners. When we reserved the booking we told them that we were 2 adult couples (4 people). When we arrived they had made one room for two adults and one child. It was a mistake, an odd mistake because there were no other reservations for two adults and one child, but still a mistake which is forgivable. Why they get on star is how they handled their mistake. The only deal they were willing to offer us was for us to PAY for a new room every night. So we would double our budget, and one couple would have to change rooms almost every night. All the while they consistently tried to make this our fault even though we could clearly show them the email with exactly what we order and their confirming reply to this order. We ended up not buying the extra room and sleeping on two uncomfortable cots in the kitchen (photo). In the kitchen the WiFi did not work and it barely worked in the other room. This did not matter though because it was not even turned on for most of the trip. On top of all of this, the original deal was for us to pay about 30% up front and the rest after our stay. Half-way through our trip they forced us to pay in full plus a "TOURIST TAX". After we returned home from the trip we requested a receipt to help with bank statements. They say "no customer has ever made such a request and it was an embarrassment to them that they have to do this." (not an exact quote because it is translated from Italian)

The main reason I’m giving this review is that I feel that the daily rate does not reflect what was provided. Not worth the cost. The rooms are indeed clean and they had a cleaning service every day. (They changed towels and sheets every two days which was nice) There is one wonderful polite lady that seems to do all the cleaning, the breakfast etc. for this reason, our room was not ready when we got there and the room was given to us an hour late. A larger cleaning staff may be necessary to handle the August traffic. I guess their linens and towels are washed on site….but it was a little weird seeing them hung out to dry every day as we passed to go to our rooms. The outdoor space itself is well maintained and clean, and the pool area is nice too. The rooms did indeed receive a renovation, but a “surface” renovation. Some things were still old and not working however, they were pretty quick in fixing them. The bedroom did not have an air condition unit….it was a portable air condition that made more noise than anything else. Nonetheless, the august nights were cool, so we never really used it. We were a family of 4 and the bedroom had a normal bed, but the kids had cots instead of regular beds. In the renovation they must have forgotten or not have had time to put handles on the closet doors, and kitchen cabinets. Again, does not reflect the tree money that is charged! (Actually I just saw customer pictures from 3years ago, and they didn’t have handles either….so I guess they never bothered putting them!) My last comment is pets…we did not bring our dog because we were told pets were not allowed. However, the owner seemed to have her dog tied all day to either a tree or pole, and although he was super quiet and sweet, he pooped and peed in the area around where he was tied, which was near the path to our rooms. I am all for pets, but don’t deny people their pets and then have yours in full view on the property. Her answer to my query was that her dog was vaccinated….
