★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I expected more than what actually is. I drove from Alykanas and the road was a bit uncomfortable because there are no crash barriers. It's a curved narrow road through the mountains and there are routes where you drive at the edge of a cliff. Then arriving at the so called monastery and findings out that there is nothing actually,besides and old tower,was disappointing for me. There was a smal church which was closed. I was just about to leave when a bus with tourists arrived and someone opened the church. The only thing I enjoyed was the scenic view on the way back to Alykanas. I wouldn't recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small Monastery and probably the most popular on the island. But there isn't much to see. The church is not well maintained and the tower at the entrance is locked.
There are some relics of St Dionysios if that's your thing.

Its more older than 600 years, but still in good condition. Definetly must see it!

Is the place where the Saint of the Island lived and it is well known in all Greece as the saint of forgiveness because he helped save the life of the man who killed saints brother but who repented.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is only the remains of a small monastry. It is nice and quiet (in early May) and fun to see when you happen to be around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Anafonitria monastery is a very calm place, excellent to just walk around and relax a bit. You can light a candle inside the small chapel and take a look at the vegetable garden behind the building. There’s a little square near by with a restaurant and some handcraft shops where is worth to pay a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ruins of a small monastery, with a nice church inside, which is still intact. You can make some photos, hang out with the local cats, also, there is a nice bar outside with an awesome garden. Most likely you spend 30 minutes here, the whole place is small, not a big area. Oh, and there are donkeys outside, cute and friendly ones.
