★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The site of the Gortys is not impressive due to lack of knowledge (my ignorance). There are no signs explaining what they are. So.....when it's hot out this is a big "do not stop" place. But....there is a great spot there near the lousios river in the shade right there to picnic ( no tables) and dip in the river. Also it's the beginning of end of the lousios trail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are no signs guiding the visitors as to why the place has any archaeological interest and value. Nevertheless, the location was stunning and definitely worth visiting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful open space with great archeological importance, featuring a temple to Asclepius built by the locals when he helped them defeat the Spartans then protected them from the plague. One of the earliest baths can also be found here, believed to be one of the oldest ones in Greece. Unfortunately there are no information panels available to provide visitors with knowledge of the area, but still a lovely place to visit by river Lousios.
