The stadium itself was a bit disappointing because it was just a plain surface without many archeological specialties. The tunnel, where you can see the names of people who won the races in ancient times, carved into the stone, is more exciting; however, it is hard to tell which names were carved 2000 years ago and which of them have been recently applied by tourists.

The stadium is lovely and in excellent condition. When we went there (November) it was very quite, with hardly anybody else there. When you enter you can climb over the ridge and walk down into the stadium or (as we only found out after), look at the ancient changing room first (immediately on the right as you enter), and then walk through the short tunnel into the stadium - as the athletes would have in the past. The track is well-preserved and if you're feeling energetic you can run up and down the track. There is not a huge amount to see, about 30 minutes is enough time or longer if you want to wonder around for a bit longer.

Visit the main site and museum BEFORE the stadium! The museum has a very interesting video showing how the starting line worked in the ancient games, along with a very clever contraption that they used to signal the start. Do watch this video and then go to the stadium. This really helps put the stadium in context and you'll be able to make more sense of your visit.

A nice stadium, though poorly preserved. Interesting tunnel drives you to the centre. Don't fight the temptation to contest in running, as a tribute to the olympic spirit!

Very cool place, way less frequented than the Nemean site which is a 1min drive away. You can freely walk into the stadium and wander around. Find the “secret entrance”, a tunnel that athletes used to come out from when their names were called during the nemean games. Pay attention to the stones and you will see some of their names carved into the walls as they waited for their turn. Price included in the ticket for the site and museum.

While not much is on offer, a ticket to here also gives you access to the separate archeological site nearby. The entrance way the athletes would have used is the most intact of the structures on display and is worth the price of admission. Not a place that is over run by tourists, so you can take your time to sit, relax and taste history.
