J	Joanne Woodman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Room was lovely. The location was good. The staff left something to be desired. They offered nothing about the facilities on Hydra. I also received a very unpleasant call from a girl at the front desk, complaining that I was in my room too late two days in the row, which inconvenienced the cleaning lady. Totally unacceptable behavior for what was supposed to be a high class hotel.
D	Dimitris Giannoulis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Comfortable, clean and nicely decorated rooms. The hotel is in a nice, quiet location a stone's throw away from the port. The hotel was lacking facilities and amenities (other than a communal jacuzzi tub and some sunbeds) but that is probably common of hotels in Idra as no big developments are allowed on the island. The rooms could be quieter (inside walls didn't have sufficient sound proofing). Breakfast was limited but the offered products were good. All the hotel staff were helpful except one of the receptionists who could improve on communication skills. Overall we liked the hotel and room.

Very clean, excellent breakfast with many handmade, traditional things. Very friendly staff, the owner was very helpful & gave us many recommendations on what to do/where to eat.

Stelios, the manager, was very kind even before check-in and corrected my error in booking the wrong dates even though I'd made a nonrefundable reservation. Yes, it's a little ways up a gently sloped cobblestone street. It's not the most fun with giant rolling bags, but we did it without trouble. Just far enough from the port to allow one to really enjoy the quiet of the island. As for the reviewer who says it is five minutes from anything...well, they either walk slower than a turtle or are unobservant. Within two minutes one can be at a market, the historic pharmacy, and any of several restaurants. We had the Aphrodite room which was generously sized, fitted with pillows of two distinct firmnesses, had a fridge, tea/coffee setup, desk, and truly luxurious shower. Small, thoughtful touches abound. Really it was all I hoped and I can't wait to come back. There's wifi too, though to quote our host "it's not great, but we have it".

You walk up a gradual incline at least 15 minutes from the port, and a good 5 minutes from any shop or restaurant. The room was okay. The bed is very hard. The bathroom has a very deep tub, making it hard to climb in and out of to shower. It is wasteful to have a big tub when there is a water shortage on the island. The staff spoke very little English, (I regretfully don't speak Greek) making it hard to get information or help.

The accessibility of hotel is probably the best you can find in Hydra. Definitely I will come again in the future.
