I have visited Hydra many times which is included in the 3 island tour from Piraeus, but, I always wanted to stay longer and staying here makes it so very lovely. After we discovered that the rooms were dirty, beds very old and the mattress filthy and asked to kindly fix this — the manager snapped at us (!!) rudely. We left the premisses immediately and were never re-funded. Never again.

Very reasonable prices and nice service apart from a lunchtime. Anyway, there are many convenient facilities available for the guests. All in all, I do recommend this place for the short and long term staying. I liked it much.

It makes such a big difference to the whole holiday experience when the hotel is comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful such as the staff at Orloff. You could not have asked for better. We are planning on making a return and will definitely use Orloff again and highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Hydra. While this might not have been their fault, they had been aware of that, had my contact information and made no effort to notify me prior to me taking a ferry to the island. They provided me with a flashlight, a bucket and opened a window for me. I am 72 years old and this was not my idea of a pleasant stay at a hotel that charged me $240 for each night. I could not even have my reservation and therefore payment canceled. Power was not restored for another 36 hours and I spent most of the time outside and seeking out places to just sit that had generators and electric. What is most upsetting is that they refused to even discuss even a discount for my lovely stay. No shower, no light, no air....wouldn't anyone be upset. They advertise themselves as a boutique hotel. What they are not is humane and very greedy.
