Hotel Leto Hydra - Ξενοδοχείο Ύδρα - Hydra Town Saronic Islands

We came with a big group to the hotel and had an AMAZING time! The front desk girls were so kind, as was the whole entire staff!

So I stayed in this hotel many many times before. And it was always very nice and friendly. Almost like a family environment. Turns out, it only lasts as long as the duration of your stay. This year I am in Hydra but I’m staying in a different hotel because I’m travelling with my dog for the first time ever and the Leto does not allow dogs. Which is fine. Not a problem for me. I went back there just to say hello but it was all new staff at the reception. When I arrived I explained the receptionist that I’m in Hydra but I’m staying somewhere else because of the dog etc. they told me they don’t allow dogs and I said that’s fine. So I said can I meet the manager just to say hello because I stayed here many many times the previous years. Some months I stayed like every single weekend and they knew me and I wanted to say hello. She called the manager. I opened my arms saying, “oh hello, so nice to see you!” She didn’t even look at me, she just was talking to me in greek, a long monologue, and I kept on saying I don’t speak greek, English please. She ignored it first snd just continued in greek… She knew who I was, she knows I don’t speak greek, then she just looked at me and said, “Sorry. No dogs. We had problem last year” then she walked off. I felt really humiliated. I never went to this hotel with my dog before. I didn’t want yo stay there with my dog. All I wanted was to say hello to a familiar face. But it looks like, they are only nice to you as long as you’re staying and actively paying. It’s not genuine at all. I’m never going to stay in this hotel again!

A fantastic hotel right in the heart of Ydra. The rooms are beautiful, with antique furnishings and impressive cleanliness. The staff were attentive and friendly. The breakfast (and kind lady who serves) perfect. Gym is just the right size. We will stay again.

We recently stayed as a family with two young children (3 & 6) at Hotel Leto and it was the most kind and hospitable experience. Olympias and Vasilea at the reception were so beautifully kind and forthcoming with help and orientation; Anna who runs the breakfast greeted us every morning with her big smile and Eugenia (Genny), the owner, took a real interest in our well-being. The hotel is so tasteful and calm (even though our children were not always ? - thank you for understanding) and has a special aura; and is perfectly located within Hydra Town. We will love to come back.

This is definitely not a 5-stars hotel. The room is relatively old and not something special. For one night we paid 330 EUR! Breakfast is poor, the variety is small and only has the basics. Even the orange juice was from a can. The air-conditioning whether you believe it or not, it's centrally controlled! So if you are freezing then you must call and ask them to lower down the temperature! Last but not least they asked to leave the room before 11am. Don't go there. There are better and cheaper hotels in Hydra.

An amazing hotel, with really incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was simply delicious and healthy. My suite was very nice colored and decorated, spotless and comfortable, while there was a private bathroom which was very clean and large. Free internet was available as well as traditional cooking lessons are also available inside the hotel. Authentic hospitality on the island of Hydra, so I look forward to coming back.

Such a perfect hotel in the center of town and beautiful staff. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. The owners and staff are so accommodating even offering us early check in and wonderful restaurant recommendations even during Greek Easter. We enjoyed our breakfast in the yard under the tree and Anna was a joy trying to make all our coffee requests. We thank you for our wonderful stay and hope to see you again soon!
