Brilliant place to visit. The staff were brilliant as well as English and were so informative about the animals they help and were lovely to talk to. We loved how we could interact with the snakes, turtles and my favourite the Iguana 'little squirt' he loved to be stroked...I could have stayed there all day! ?

Great little aquarium and reptile sanctuary run by an incredibly kind and driven team. Multilingual information regarding the fish and reptile species on display makes a visit worthwhile regardless of your language. Many of the animals on display were rescued and all are taken care of with a great deal of dedication. If you're in Hersonissos or around the area it's definitely worth a visit.

A nice rescue place. It's possible to hold some animals and take photos with them. The staff is really knowledgeable and are happy to share their knowledge with the visitors.

Would highly recommend taking a visit. Very reasonable price and for a great cause. All staff very welcoming and helpful, keen to get everyone some great time with rescued reptiles and marine life where possible and overall learn more about our world! Perfect for all ages too.

Like others said it’s a smaller place, but we had so much fun speaking with the staff there (they are so friendly & sweet) & learning about the turtles, touching the snakes, and handing lettuce to the tortoise. It was great listening to the different efforts they’ve made for endangered species & their stories of where they rescued each animal! highly recommend stopping by - we went from Heraklion to Bus Stop 20 to get here :) definitely a memorable experience in crete

It’s a small but wonderful place! What it lacks I. Size it makes up in information and accessibility to the animals. You can touch tortoise, snakes and other reptiles. Do take care to show the proper respect to the animals of course. Very friendly owners/staff who can and will give you more information about the different animals. As it’s also rescue center, try to visit to support their activities. As it’s a beautiful mission they are following!

A fantastic small rescue centre for various fish, reptiles and other wonderful creatures. We had the opportunity to hold one of the snakes and to watch one being fed. There's lots of variety to see here, the staff are all very helpful and they do great work. We spent around an hour here, there is lots of information to read if you'd like to. €16 for 2 adults was agreeable considering it goes towards the care of these wonderful animals I won't ever get to see except in such situations!

We had such a wonderful time at Aquaworld, with my underwater and reptile obsessed 3 year old. As others have said, it is a small place, but I actually really appreciated their focus on the animals they have (lots of them reflective of the local fauna), they all have lots of space and seem very content. Getting to hold a snake and to touch a tortoise were obviously real highlights for our mini Steve Irwin. Definitely worth the trip.
