Small but fine collection of antiquities, which shows the Cretan art from its beginnings to late Roman times. Closed on Tuesdays!

The information signs with the objects were very detailed, it's small enough to walk through in half an hour and still get a good idea about the development of the art on the island in the bronze age. It had better information signs then Heraklion museum (shocked!) But I think it's great to start here and then go to Heraklion for the rest if its to your liking and you want to see more ?
