Great museum for items and carvings from up to 3000 years ago. Pottery, bronze items, gold seals etc. If you go in summer it will be hot as there is no air conditioning. Once the breeze picks up to cool the building they will close the windows and it gets even worse. Visit early in the morning and even in September it is hot in the museum but worth going to.

Amazing pieces of history to be found! A modest fee of €4 per person and at least an hour of artifacts ahead. I wont spoil what's inside but the only reasons I docked a point was the lack of signs in finding the place and a lack of descriptions for the items.

Good collection of neolithic artifacts, cycladic marble idols, some bronze statuary amongst it's permanent exhibits. The terrace enhanced with a mosaic depiction of Europa kidnapped by Zeus (in guise of a bull) also offers a vista across the countryside.

Incredible. Bit tricky to find in the little winding streets but there are signs to guide and it's a scenic walk anyway. Museum entry was only €2 and it's pretty amazing for such a small place. The info alongside the items are more informative if you speak greek, the English translations are a bit brief, but that doesn't really detract much considering what you can see

interesting historical pieces from different centuries reaching back to 3000 BC. fair price for 2€, it is worth a visit to get an impression about naxos' past. some printed more detailled info is partly available at the museum. open air terrace with impressive mosaic.

A very quiet and pleasant place to study how Greece got birth, with wide quality artifacts, information and books to read, nicely maintained the culture , loved the ambiance, must visit information provided is very good and comes to a pocket-friendly entrance price of 4 Euros

As of September 2021 the main museum is closed and undergoing renovations. For approximately three years until September 2024. So no mosaics and a very limited display of vases and figures from the Cyclades in the temporary display area. The upside is that this display is now free. The downside is that it is very underwhelming. If you are not out in 15 minutes I would be surprised.

At the moment most of it is closed for renovation. It's just one room with about 20 glass cases for the next couple of years. If you've already been to any other Greek museum you can give this a miss. Not much to see until the museum fully opens again in a couple of years. The gift shop has more space currently
