★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Possibly my favorite archaeological site in Attica! Serene, beautiful, sitting in a small ravine, surrounded by wooded hills!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Generally i like small museums and archaeological sites, especially when they are found in a beautiful natural environment. That is exactly the case of the Amfiaraeion, the oracular sanctuary of Amfiaraos. The visit is very interesting with plenty of information found on site. It is very nicely taken care of and the visit may seem like an excursion. The stoa and the theatre are pretty impressive and restored with respect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s always a nice experience to visit archaeological sites in Greece. This one is not a famous one, as a result it’s a little bit abandoned. But the location is lovely and the visit can be combined with a quick dip in the sea.
