The Sanctuary of Hera is a glory to behold and extraordinarily picturesque being serenely situated alongside the shimmering crystal clear waters of the Gulf of Corinth. The ancients chose the perfect spot for this magical site and it's absolutely a must see if your in this region of Greece that offers such masterpieces of antiquity as Ancient Corinth, Acrocorinth, Mycenae, Tiryns, Palamidi Fortress, Epidaurus, Ancient Nemea, Temple of Isthmia and more.... Enjoy my friends :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A place you should definitely visit, especially during the summer months. The archeological site is wonderful and you can swim in the small bay that exists. A visit to the lighthouse is a must.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No people on week days mid-day. We didnt pay to see the anchient temple and agora. There was also a newer church that was unlocked, and an amazing lighthouse in the distance. To see the lighthouse, you will need to go up the hill above the agora.
The temple of Hera is part of a small port and a beach that looks untouched. The water was crystal clear when we visited. A picturesque place full of history and a feeling of peace to experience. Recommended.
