Arion Resort Vassilikos - Vassilikos

This is not a location suitable for families or couples, as the place is swamped by loud (and always drunk) Birmingham type of Brits partying by he pool way past midnight, enabled by the staff. Breakfast (or any other meal for that fact) is poor in both selection and quality, and the 'restaurant' is located in the basement (yes, literally), entrance facing the toilets. Parking can accommodate max. 4 cars (challenging if you rent a car or use your own). The night staff is unable to speak English, and relies on the bartender for any (basic) conversation, while the owner displays an extremely rude behaviour, quickly turning to shouting and threatening any complaining guests that they'll be kicked out of the hotel. Later edit: the following day after posting this feedback we were put in the position of finding alternative accommodation in a high-season, close to fully booked, Zakynthos.

Really nice place. Probably, one's perception depends on the time you visiting the hotel and your personal attitude :-) In the tourist agency, we asked for a quiet hotel for a couple, and this hotel fully met our expectations. Extremely attentive and responsive staff and demanding management. However, be prepared to meet some Russian or Slavic (Czech/Polish?) speaking family or couple guests at some point (speaking English too, though). But no fuss. The food was decent. I'd say the menu was fair and it was delicious for the price-- variety of meat, vegetables, fish, some prawns etc. On top of that, clean and spacey room (not standard, but advanced?), some entertainment if you'd like. Nice bar and responsive and diligent barmaids and restaurant staff. Cleaning was always done before the lunch. There are dedicated conditioners, which worked well for us. A lot of trees around, which is a great plus. Close to the couple of cozy beaches including booming Banana and the 'posh' Ioinian bar/restaurant. To sum up, if we were asked to made our choice again, we'd choose this hotel. We visited the surrounding areas and we can assure anyone the spot is just right. One drawback we noticed is the balconies which were lacking privacy a little bit and (some) were opened to the sun. However, for some guests it seemed to be no problem at all.

Very nice hotel, clean rooms, which is the most important for us, good food, near to the beach in quiet alley. Near to the shop as well. We had a room next to the swimming pool with own mattress-the best one in our opinion. Happy to spend holidays here!

We were coming here just for lunch and dinner. Always friendly, smiling and professional staff and the food... was simply awesome. If you have any concerns there is no problem to talk directly with chef. Such a great guy. Thank you for the experience. Highly recommended.

Really nice hotel, very friendly staff, especially on the reception - always willing to help. Food is also good, plenty of choice and variety. Hotel is clean and renovated. Rooms are clean, pool is big and there is lot of beds around. Beach is 10min away and is great. We stayed for 14 days and had no problems, so would definitely recommend hotel to anyone who wants nice, relaxed vacation.

Not recommended at all. Not 4 stars! Quick summary: - Dirty towels & a bathroom - Food & beverages are disgusting & all negative comments about that are absolutely true! Do not believe in any hotel response! - Canned fruit all the time excepting watermelon - 4 stars hotel? Is it a joke?! Your staff & the owner should go to the proper 4 stars hotel to see how it should be managed. - No hot water from time to time. - Sunbeds are not free. If you want to have a nice beach and sunbeds, you have to go to a different beach. - A fake pictures displayed about the hotel by all travel agencies.

Excellent people and excellent place! The rooms are modern, clean and the location is fantastic. Far from the noisy streets very close to the sandy beach you will find peace and calmness. The food also is one of the best you can find in a 4 star hotel! A true experience of Greek hospitality and style!
