The boat going to Kefalonia starts there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a lovely town with lots of facilties and the Quayside has plenty of room for yachts. Power and water ashore are free at the moment. I am probably shooting myself in the foot, but we will definitely return to Astakos again. Come and visit Janus at restaurant Maistros, you will not be disappointed. Delecious traditional Greek food and plenty of it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A convenient and great for kids beach. Very accessible, although parking might be an issue at peak times. The food is good and the portions are satisfactory. Unfortunately the kids playing at the beach with the tennis rackets might end up hitting people with the balls. The coffee is good and the snacks are great.
