M	Manolis Akoumianakis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Δίπλα από τον καινούργιο αρσανά της μονής, Αγίου Παύλου, βρίσκεται ο ερειπωμένος πύργος με οχυρωματικό περίβολο στην παραλία. Ο πύργος βρίσκεται κοντά στην κοίτη του χειμάρρου Ξηροπόταμος. Παλαιότερα προστάτευε τον αρσανά της μονής που βρισκόταν σε εκείνο το σημείο. Ο παλιός αρσανάς καταστράφηκε σε πλημμύρα του Ξηροποτάμου το 1821 ενώ σοβαρές ζημιές προκλήθηκαν στον πύργο και στη μεγάλη πλημμύρα του 1911 που παρέσυρε τα πάντα στην περιοχή. Σήμερα σώζονται μόνο ερείπια του Πύργου και του προσκολλημένου οχυρού περιβόλου, οπότε δημιουργείται έτσι ένα μικρό φρουριακό συγκρότημα. Φαίνεται πιθανόν ο περίβολος να ανήκει στην πρώιμη μεταβυζαντινή εποχή (15ος αιώνας), ενώ ο Πύργος είναι μάλλον παλαιότερος (14ος αιώνας). Next to the new Arsanas monastery, St. Paul, is the ruined tower with fortification wall on the beach. The tower is located near the riverbed of Xiropotamos. He used to protect the monastery's lodge at that point. The old arsenal was destroyed in a flood of Xiropotamos in 1821 and severe damage was caused to the tower and the great flood of 1911 that swept everything in the area. Today only ruins of the tower and the attached enclosure fortress, thus created a small fortress complex. It seems likely that the enclosure belongs to the early post-Byzantine era (15th century), while the Tower is probably older (14th century).
