Best Hotel in Greece

M	Max Leykin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall a nice hotel, but in my view not nearly worth the $550 per night we paid for their basic room. I would not consider this a 5 star hotel, should be 4 as there is nothing special about the property or the amenities. Service was nice and friendly, but basic. While the view from the hotel is great, the hotel pool is right on the caldera trail (and not elevated much from the path) so you get crowds walking by as you lounge by the pool. The hotel did upgrade us for 1 night to a room with a private jacuzzi in their sister property - that room was great. But I’m basing the rating on the Avaton part of the experience.

R	Rachel Hirshfeld on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simply exquisite! I don't have enough good words to say about the Avaton. The view was breathtakingly beautiful - a slice of heaven. The staff was so kind and accommodating and truly went above and beyond to meet our needs / requests. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Every morning we received a delicious and tailor-made breakfast that was brought to our room / balcony. They also have a wonderful restaurant and a terrific spa. Absolutely wonderful. I cannot recommend them highly enough and cannot wait to return!
S	S S on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would give 100 stars if I could! The resort itself is amazing. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautiful. The view is the best on the island, you won’t catch the sunset from a better location. The hotel staff are the best in the business. I’ve stayed at places similar to Avaton but have never experienced such friendly, helpful, and personable managers and staff members. The minute we arrived (which was around midnight), we were greeted with sparkling wine, given a run-down of the island and the best places to go, and escorted to our amazing room full of fresh fruit, beautifully cut flowers, and wine. I would go to Santorini every year just to stay at this resort! The resort restaurant is also incredible. The food is absolutely delicious, gorgeously plated. Spectacular in every aspect.

Great food, breathtaking views (the location is perfect for enjoying the sunsets), comfortable rooms, and amazing service. The entire staff made our stay truly special and gave us fantastic tips for exploring Santorini. Highly recommended.
L	Ling Ho on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exquisite. Exclusive hot tub with view towards the beautiful deep blue sea plus far tip northwards toward Oia. Breakfast is sent to the room where one can eat slowly and just take in the amazing view. The hotel is so sweet and thoughtful to give a complementary bottle of wine. The reception lady is very attentive and gave many recommendations of things to do and eat. The indian male housekeeper is helpful; he delivered our breakfast and helped us with our luggages on the day of our checkout. Parking is available at a common open space area not far from the hotel but towing check-in size luggages on that cobbelstone path proved a little challenging. Thankful we had help. Recommend!

My wife and I stayed here in July 2021 for our honeymoon and were blown away about this place. The location is perfect and an easy walk to many locations (but not too busy) (and no steps!) The views are eye watering. But the best part by far was the staff. I've never had an experience where the staff remembers everything, bends over backwards, and will cater 100% to you. I would give 6 stars if possible.

We stayed in the Avaton suite, very pretty with amazing views, Bessy made everything very easy and comfortable, breakfast was served on time, every time and was delicious. Easily the best part of our 2 wk stay throughout all of Greece.
