On very short notice, i was able to dive with Balos Divers. I'm a quite experienced diver who has been diving with dozens of dive centers all over the world. If you are looking for a experienced guide or teacher: Iakovos is definitely your man in the area. He is super knowledgeable, safety is veryvery important to him. The equipment you can rent is top notch, the prices are reasonable. And - he is also over all a very great guy! Thank you Iakovos for an amazing experience in Kissamos. And hug your kids from me, they're precious :)

Great dive shop! I've been diving with Iakovos today and it's been a pleasure: Iakovos makes your diving very personal - he tells a lot, asks a lot and wants to make diving a great experience for you (and succeeds with that). We made two shore dives. Everything was professional and felt safe. Equipment is in great shape and he even provides boots. I would definitely recommend diving with him!

Superb and professional dive shop. Whether you have zero experience or a are a seasoned diver this is a great place to experience the underwater world of Crete. I certified Open Water and Advanced Diver at this shop and have dived dozens of times with these guys. New equipment. Iakovos runs a great shop, knows these waters like the back of his hand, and most importantly is a great guy who you can trust.

Only to recommend. It was the first scuba diving experience for me. Everything was explained very well and understandable. The equipment is new and very well maintained. Altogether we felt very safe. Lakovos is a very friendly and open-minded person with whom you can have great conversations. I can recommend it to anyone who wants to create an extraordinary memory.

This experience was great. Iakovos, an engineer with the passion for scuba diving, was very professional and took the time go through all the safety information and beyond (he even explained us the physics reactions which apply to our body while diving, so that we could size risks and opportunities). Being a first timer, I found it reassuring to have him, a fully certified diver, guide us into our first dive. I would highly recommend this scuba diving center because its small scale makes the experience very personal, secure and enjoyable. Not to forget, Iakovos took pictures of us with his goPro during the all diving and then shared them with us for free via email :). If one day i will plan to get certified, i will come back here ! five star dive center from A to Z Iacovos is top notch - approachable, clear, prioritizes safety, and obviously has a long connection with Kissamos and the surrounding waters. He is a really experienced diver (both commercially and recreationally) and has local knowledge that really adds to the dive experience. The great dive center has all the necessary equipment, all of which is in excellent condition. He was able to accommodate my friend and I on short notice and helped us organize a really great day of diving, for which we are grateful! He also provides some refreshments and will take pictures throughout the dive and send them to you online. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a good diving experience in the area

We spent the past two days with Iakovos and his assistant Yanis. The first day was a detailed refresher course in a very quiet, intimate and beautiful cove and the second day was two Cave/Cavern dives at Ravdoucha Beach. Both days were equally educational and fun. Iakovos is an extremely thorough and conscientious instructor and took great care to ensure that all relevant skills were completed correctly and with appropriate measure. It was an excellent training after a year off from diving. The dives on the second day were super relaxed and full of beautiful scenery. Since Iakovos knows the waters around Kissamos very well he was able to show us the best and most beautiful route through the cavern system. The pace and flow of the dives was such that everyone in our group (three divers) could follow without any problems and care was taken to make everyone feel comfortable. Iakovos himself is a highly professional divemaster who makes you feel safe and in good hands at all times due to his extensive knowledge and familiarity with all corners of the surrounding coastline. His assistant Yanis has always been helpful and friendly and has greatly contributed to making the whole experience excellent all round. He will surely soon be a great divemaster himself under the expert guidance he is receiving. The diving center itself and the used equipment were as good as new and in top condition. The atmosphere in the group was so pleasant during the dives that we were happy to toast to the wonderful experiences after the day was over. A dive or course with Iakovos and Yanis are therefore in our experience unreservedly recommendable. Enjoy ?
