★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed the Banknote Museum and here is why:
1) Free entrance
2)Tour by the staff
3) Its location (in the old Town, Corfu)
4)The visitors can understand how the currency was affected by the political/social changes
As for the disadvantages, THERE ARE NONE!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The building is the one of the Ionian Bank, the first bank of modern Greece.
Now it's a monetary museum hosting a great variety of notes and coins, a fascinating way to see the development of Greek history.
My very favourite collections are the notes and coins of the Ionian State, before the Ionian islands made the dreadful mistake of joining the ungrateful and decadent Hellenic state that misused and neglected the flourishing and highly educated Ionian islands and shut down the first university of modern Greece that was located on Corfu and many more institutions. So typical Greek. Be sure to visit, it's a great experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little museum is pretty awesome. Lots of cool notes from Greece printed in the USA, England, Paris, etc. Very nice museum and felt like we got a personalized tour from the staff. Excellent and highly recommended if you are interested in currency. Small but good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For us this was an rather unexpected highlight of our trip to Corfu Town. This small, free-entrance museum is not only for people interested in Greek numismatics (which we were on the lowest level only) but also for people interested in the history of Corfu and European economy. We got a personal tour and, besides the fact that I learned a lot of interesting things, our kids, just 2 ordinary teens both loved it, too! Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The must see museum in Corfu, the exhibition is not very big, you will need approximately 30-45 min to see it. You can learn a lot of interesting facts about the history of banknotes in Greece and it's place in very complex and absorbing Greek history. For the most of the time me and my wife were the only visitors in the museum and we were guided by extremely nice gentleman who comprehensively answered on all of our
questions and shared many fun facts. I strictly recommend this museum to everyone (not only to fans of numismatics/banknotes) as one of the best in Corfu, especially it is for free and at the end we have received beautifully printed brochure.
