★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasant enough gardens in Corfu town for a brief respite from the crowds of shoppers. Site of memorials to noted English authors Lawrence and Gerald Durrell.
Brass plaques with raised life-sized busts of both authors were recently added to the gardens, among the other dignitaries who came before. Of particular note is how visitors touch them for luck, leaving most of the faces weathered but their noses remaining a shiny yellow!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful trim gardens with benches and shaded areas, a pretty nice place to take a walk and relax. It has also beautiful castle view, and a good variety of colorful flowers and plants. There are also a couple of monuments and sculptures. It was quiet enough during our visit.
