★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to apreciate the military might of the 3rd Bulgarian kingdom, that took Seres and built the Fortress overseeing the city. To bad the Greeks turn it into a tavern, but I guess that's a cultural thing for them

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The fortress is Byzantine and is located at the top of the hill above the city. There are preserved lilac walls, a very nice restaurant and beautiful panoramic views.

Highly recommended place to visit!
TIP: Try walking there,the scenery is beautiful! :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Little remains from Acropolis itself, but don't miss the excellent view from the top. Hill where Acropolis is suited is on northern part of Serres. There is lovely cafe with view to the entire city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place. Amazing view, you see the whole city of Serres from above. The only negative points of course are that there is no urban transport to go there so you have to pay a taxi from the center (believe me taxi are expensive here). The other negative is the cafe-bar .You want at least €15 for two people in whatever you get!
