★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old Venetian fortress that served its purpose also in the Ottoman period as well as in the World war 2. Easily accessible, just few stairs up above the church of Virgin Mary. Nice restaurant and bar at the entrance. 5* for the views of Paleochora

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ruins of the medieval venetian fortress. Ideal for watching sunset. Don't go there after dark, there are no lights and it can be dangerous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Set above the town the fortress is being excavated/restored, and has views over the town and sea approaches. Venetian, Ottoman, and German occupation exacted a toll on the fortress, but it is worth the climb for the views.
