Δυστηχώς, είναι τελείως αναξιοποίητο και παρατημένο. Η πρόσβαση δεν είναι εφικτή αφού η κύρια πύλη είναι κλειστή. Θα μπορούσε να είναι το τοπόσημο του Έβρου. The castle of Pythion is located in the homonymous village of Evros. After the restoration, the castle is preserved at a decent level. Unfortunately, it is completely unused and abandoned. Access is not possible as the main gate is closed. It could be the landmark of Evros.

Πήγα μαζί με τον γιό μου, για να το δούμε και η περίφραξη ήταν κλειδωμένη, παρόλο που υποτίθεται ότι οι ώρες επίσκεψης ήταν έως τις 16:00, ενώ εμείς πήγαμε στις 12... Κρίμα... e	eleni bountzoukli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το κάστρο του Πυθιου Διδυμοτειχου Έβρου είναι το καλύτερα διατηρητέο κτίριο της βυζαντινής εποχής.....Η αναστηλωση έχει ξεκινήσει αλλά δυστυχώς λόγω έλλειψης στοιχείων όσον αφορά την αρχιτεκτονικη που χρησιμοποιήθηκε , οι εργασίες έχουν καθυστερήσει αρκετά. Εμείς που περνούσαμε τα καλοκαίρια ξαπλωμένοι στις πέτρες του κάστρου, χαζεύοντας τα φώτα του χωριού, το θεωρούμε προέκταση του εξοχικού μας....Τώρα πια είναι κλειδωμένο γιατί είναι επικίνδυνο να κυκλοφορούμε γύρω του. Ελπίζω όλοι όσοι δουλεύουν για να γίνει γνωστό αυτό το ιστορικό κάστρο να δικαιωθουν. Το έργο με τα ακρυλικά χρώματα αναπαριστά το κάστρο του Πυθιου κατά τη διάρκεια του ηλιοβασιλεματος και ζωγράφισε ο ταλαντούχος Βασίλης Χρυσανθακοπουλος. Διακοσμεί το σπίτι των γονιών μου που βρίσκεται στο Πυθιο.... The castle of Pythion Didymoteicho Evros is the best preserved building of the Byzantine era ..... The work with acrylic paints represents the castle of Pythios during the sunset and was painted by the talented Vassilis Chrysanthakopoulos. He decorates my parents' house located in Pythio ....

Να μην αναφερθώ στον σιδιροδρομικο σταθμό του ΠΥΘΙΟΥ.ΠΑΡΑΤΗΜΕΝΟΣ ΣΤΗΝ ΤΥΧΗ ΤΟΥ. ΚΡΊΜΑ... We went from Patras on vacation to Evros two friendly couples. We went to Pythio 26 12 2021. EVERYTHING IS CLOSED. Pity. Not to mention the railway station of PYTHIOS. LEFT IN ITS LUCK. Pity...

Συνήθως ο χώρος είναι κλειστός αλλά ανά τακτά χρονικά διαστήματα ανακοινώνουν ημέρες και ώρες που μπορείτε να τον επισκεφτείτε. A diamond that has been abandoned by the local authorities while it should be included in the cultural heritage monuments. Usually the place is closed but at regular intervals they announce days and hours that you can visit.
g	giorgos zaxarias on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Πολύ όμορφο το κάστρο, δυστυχώς την Κυριακή που το επισκεφθηκαμε η είσοδος ήταν κλειδωμένη παρόλο που στο ωράριο λειτουργίας έλεγε πως θα ήταν ανοιχτό!!!! The castle is very beautiful, unfortunately on Sunday when we visited it the entrance was locked even though during the opening hours it said that it would be open !!!!

Αυτά τα γνωρίζει από πρώτο χέρι , μία που η μάνα του είναι από το χωριό Πύθιο : Το κάστρο του Πυθίου χτίστηκε το 1330 από τον αυτοκράτορα Ιωάννη Καντακουζηνό και χρησιμοποιήθηκε ως οικία . Φημολογείται ότι υπήρχε υπόγειο τούνελ το οποίο ένωνε αυτό τον πύργο με το κάστρο του Διδυμοτείχου . Υπήρχαν τείχη που τα οποία πλέον δε διασώζονται και επιπλέον πύργοι οι οποίοι καταστράφηκαν με την πάροδο των χρόνων .
