K	Karol Mielniczek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hotel to stay in Crete. Rooms are rather basic, however it;'s not the most important thing during holidays. The retaurant is extremely good, serving delicious Greek food and the service is really nice and helpfull.
M	Marco De Angelis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Average hotel. Good to have free parking. The air-conditioning is to an extra cost of 5€. The bed was large and comfty. The breakfast was awful, practically no vegetarian option.
K	Kristina Sööt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice personal, clean and comfortable room, good view to the near hills that are 30 minutes walking away. The pool and the restaurant are on the hotel territory. Rastaurant portions are big so we took only 1 portion for 2 of us and we were really full at the end and the food was really tasty too. Bus stop is right next to the hotel and it's possible to get to the center of the Heraklion for only 1,70€ and to the Knossos palace for 5€ daily ticket so it is possible to come back without paying anything more. To hotel come only busses nr 6. The taxi price from Heraklion center was 13€ for us. July 2017
M	Mohamed Arafa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I couldn’t stay more than one night only till I could find another place to stay. The pictures on the booking sites don’t reflect the truth. My experience with the hotel is as follows: 1)Cleanliness: -The room smells as well as the very tiny bathroom as there is a continuous odor coming from the drain. -The shower curtain was dirty. - When we slept on the beds at night, all members of my family developed skin rash. 2)Security: - Surprisingly, the room doors open from outside without using the card. You have to lock from inside so the door will not open therefore when we are outside, our personal belongings are left unsecured in the room. -There was no method of communication with the reception or other rooms, so if I want anything from the reception I have to go all the way to the other building. -The rail for the stairs are not stable. 3)Comfort: - The rooms are not minimally sound proof and the noise in the room is continuous. In the morning and afternoon from the people at the pool and at night from adjacent rooms and corridors. - The room doors have to be slammed hard to close adding to the noise problem. 4) Minor things: -The lift is very small -The breakfast was really bad. The only positive thing was the receptionist in the morning shift who was helpful and pleasant.

A	Anna MT on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel castro is a hotel with a human touch. Staff cannot do enough for you. Very helpful indeed. Room very adequate in size plus large balcony. Balcony door double glazed for a restful sleep ?. Breakfast plentyful and varied every morning. Pool very adequate and kept clean throughout the day and every day from what I observed. All to me known covid precautions adhered to. Half board option at their maxim restaurant.... Very good food.... And service. Excellent. Location very good... 100m from a variety of shops and only 400 m from the sandy beach. Enjoying my stay here very much. Also, prices are very low especially in September and October.... All in all I d give it 5/5....well done to all the staff.

The pool was small, but adequate and the resturaunt served very good food. For the price, i could not fault this hotel. My intention was to stay for 1 week, but i stayed for almost 5 weeks. I plan to visit again soon.
B	Bojana Vulovic on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room in the hotel was clean, the maids cleaned every day except Sunday. Each time they cleaned the room they left us small baths and a small shampoo which is very sweet. The pool is clean but due to the depth more suitable for children and can only be used between 11 am and 7 pm. The room is equipped with a refrigerator which is great but if you want to make coffee in the room you will have to bring your machine. The beach is close, it depends on which part of the beach you want to visit but the great position of the hotel is whether you like long walks to the beach or if you do not like to walk and want to be on the beach in 3 minutes. The bus station is right in front of the hotel, also below the street there are many restaurants and markets. If you are really hungry you will not have to go far because there is a restaurant Maxim with great food within the hotel. The staff in the hotel and the restaurant are very kind, they called us a taxi to the airport when we returned.
