Ну с виду просто ещё одна находка спелеологов, ничего интересного, но если верить мифам, то в ней Гермес прятал украденных у Аполлона коров, а в заливе ниже останавливался Телемах во время поисков своего отца - Одисея. Ну и встречаются истории, что царь Нестор прятал здесь свои сокровища. А если верить древним авторам, то его город был побогаче Микен. Сейчас, правда, там ничего кроме тёмных отсыревших стен не найдёшь. Хотя местные говорят о находках времён неолита, так что похоже на то, что пещера повидала многое и до Нестора. Если не трогать историю, то попасть туда можно с двух сторон, либо через разлом в стене Наваринской крепости что выше на холме, но тогда потребуются начальные навыки туриста-хайкера, либо подняться с пляжа Водокилья, что на мой взгляд, значительно легче. Now, however, there is nothing but dark damp walls you will not find. Although the locals talk about finds from the Neolithic, it seems that the cave has seen a lot before Nestor. If you don’t touch the story, you can get there from two sides, either through a fault in the wall of the Navarino fortress, which is higher on the hill, but then you will need the initial skills of a hiker tourist, or climb up from Vodokilla beach, which in my opinion is much easier.

Конечно же, мы справились, но в обуви было бы быстрее и удобнее. Сама пещера неглубокая, но очень высокая и просторная. Даже в жаркий день там царит прохлада. Со смотровой площадки открывается отличный вид на пляж. А справа от пещеры начинается крутая тропинка к Старой Наваринской крепости (очень крутая, для подготовленных опытных туристов) - самый быстрый путь. We went up to the cave from the side of Voidokiglia beach. We went in slippers, which I would not advise anyone. Of course, we managed, but in shoes it would be faster and more convenient. The cave itself is shallow, but very tall and spacious. Even on a hot day, coolness reigns there. The observation deck offers excellent views of the beach. And to the right of the cave begins a steep path to the Old Navarino fortress (very steep for trained experienced tourists) - the fastest way.
O	Orestis Pad on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το σπήλαιο από μόνο του αξίζει τον κόπο να ανεβείτε να το δείτε αλλά ακόμη εντυπωσιακότερη κατά τη γνώμη μου είναι η εκπληκτική θέα από εκεί πάνω καθώς και το ότι σας δίνει τη δυνατότητα αν θέλετε να πάρετε μετά το μονοπάτι που βγάζει στο κάστρο. Το μόνο μείον είναι ο υπερβολικός πληθυσμός εντόμων μέσα στο σπήλαιο που η βουή τους και μόνο σκεπάζει κάθε άλλο ήχο και το κάνει αισθητικά αφιλόξενο. Συνιστάται 100%.

Secondo il mito, questa grotta fu utilizzata da Ermes per nascondere il bestiame rubato ad Apollo. Bella la vista su Voidokilia e sulla sua baia, ma lo scorcio è più significativo dall'Old Navarino Castle, che è possibile raggiungere tramite un tortuoso sentiero.

N	Nicki Barker on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The scramble down from the Navarino castle to this cave is great fun! Iron fixings make the climb easier. The cave is quite large and impressive - but hard to imagine Nestor keeping his cattle here!
D	Dureska on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really liked hiking up to the cave. It is huge and the views are pretty incredible. One can continue past the cave up to the castle but the path is very steep and slippery. Since it was right after the storm, we decided not to go.
