CHC Imperial Palace - Palea EO Rethimnou Irakliou

Second visit, great staff ,very clean and stylish hotel, nice place to chill out, generally good value.

We love the Imperial Palace ? we have booked this secret hideaway on Crete after finding it by chance. A new building, with beautiful rooms, a wonderfully caretaken hotel area with 74 rooms, a not too large but we cool pool area and a great buffet style restaurant with fresh food, live cooking and really awesome traditional Greek dishes. The drinks choice is very good for an all-inclusive offer and the cocktails are a nice to have thing I don't want to miss. We love the crew! All local cretan people with "Kefi", fun and joy, open for jokes and nice Greek words to make your vacation great. And they are always there to help you with whatever need you have. Of course for a new hotel where and there, something doesn't run smooth as it should, but everyone does a good job on not letting us know or on making us forget about it in a second. Greek hospitality in a modern and guest related environment on its best, which we will continue to enjoy for some more days ? Jassas and all the best CHC Imperial Palace. ?? Ein neues Hotel mit 74 Zimmern, einen nicht zu großen Pool und einem Buffetrestaurant, live cooking und super frischen Gerichten. Eine tolle Getränke-Auswahl für all-inclusive und die Cocktails sind ein schönes nice to have, auf das ich nicht verzichten möchte. Eine super Mannschaft kümmert sich um das Hotel und seine Gäste. Kretische Leute mit "Kefi", Freude und Spaß, die mit uns mit Witz und griechischem Charme jeden Wunsch erfüllen und und griechische Sätze beibringen ?. Natürlich jetzt in einem neuen Hotel nicht immer alles rund, aber alle geben ihr bestes, das wir es nicht merken oder es in einer Sekunde wieder vergessen haben. Griechische Gastfreundlichkeit in einem modernen und auf den Gast konzentrierten Umfeld, der feinsten Sorte, dir wir noch ein paar Tage genießen dürfen. Jassas CHC Imperial Palace und alles Gute für die Zukunft --- UPDATE 2020 --- For the third time since the grand opening in 2019, we have been guests of the Voltirakis family and have enjoyed ever single moment. The whole team takes care of the guests with perfect greek hospitality. An all Crete buffet, good drinks at the bar (Ouzo Lemonade?you should try it) fun and professionality with all requests and needs, the team wins with awesome service. They also have great ideas for trips around the island and always a good idea, where to eat ? Even corona was handled perfectly from the arrival through the whole stay, everything is clean and taken care of. Thumbs up for a perfect stay, we will surely come again.

Nice hotel and very friendly staff but the food needs improvement. The all inclusive formula is OK but they are trying to keep it cheap as possible.

Beautiful designed hotel near by Rethymno with a good connection to all parts of the Island Crete. Special thanks to all the staff member of the hotel and espacially thanks to „Espazia“(hopefully written correctly) for all the drinks and the Raki of course :-)) all the hotel employees were very friendly, the rooms were clean and the food tasted good. You can easily rent a car with the help of the receptionist, alternatively buy bus tickets for a ride right next from the hotel. We had a very pleasant stay, big thanks and greetings from the german couple. :-)

This is a review after a one week stay in CHC Imperial Palace. First of all, the biggest kudos go to the staff, who are really nice with everyone, they are also really helpful and seem like they are enjoying their work, at the very least, I hope they do. The CHC Imperial Hotel is a 4 star adult-only (16 years old minimum if I remember correctly) hotel that is only a few hundred meters away from the beach (I recommend going to the right side when leaving the hotel to avoid the rocks) that only works on an all-inclusive basis. The rooms are cleaned every day unless you explicitly say otherwise (the cleaning can happen early), but if you don't want to get your room cleaned you can simply ask to swap your towels, which is a nice addition. There's also a mini market inside of the hotel, you will not find a lot of variety, but the essentials (sunscreen, some snacks) are there. The hotel is located close to Rethymnon but you will not get around far without a car or another mean of transportation. I recommend renting a car in advance, otherwise you will have issues getting one. Now, without making my review too long, here are the plus and minuses of the hotel, beginning with the pluses: - The staff is great ; - The rooms are clean, and get cleaned as frequently as you'd need/like ; - The bar serves free drinks and cocktails throughout the day ; - The hotel is honest about the drinks not being "high" brands (Coca Cola, Fanta, etc.) ; - The pool (there's only one pool and a big bathtub) is appreciated ; - Adult only, so no kids making a lot of noise ; - The food is overall decent, though it could be improved on some aspects (quality of the deserts, maybe with less sugar, or less watery cakes, as an example) - There are TV channels in all sorts of languages, it depends on whether or not you enjoy watching TV but it's a nice addition, same with the fact that the TV language is set to your language (that's what it seemed like). Onto the downsides : - The WiFi sucks.. it's enough to browse internet, albeit slowly, but it won't be enough for any sort of streaming (YouTube included), except during the night ; - There could be a wider range of snacks during the day, or maybe it could just change? It's the same every day so it can get a bit boring ; - The drinks can be improved, whether we're talking about the sodas or the alcohol, I understand the need to keep expenses low, but it sometimes tastes a bit too cheap.

We got upgraded to a suite when we arrived. The stay at the hotel was excellent, the food was good and the all in inclusive selection was acceptable. Drinks outside of the selection were very fairly priced aswell. The service by the staff was extremely good, they were always friendly and accommodated all of our wishes. I forgot my gold chain inside of our room safe and the staff was very quick to answer me and go look for it. They found it and did everything to get it back to me as soon as possible. I‘m very happy with the whole experience and would book again when I visit Crete. Me and my girlfriend had a very relaxing and carefree stay.

Great hotel with great staff, was quiet during our stay which was what we wanted so overall very happy with our stay.
