Cicada Seascape Experience - Palea EO Irakliou Agiou Nikolaou

My Italian friend ordered a Greek salad, but instead he was served a "Cretan" salad, which, as a Cretan myself, i can assure you it is a made up dish. Therefore, i have to take it as a personal offence. 10 Euros it was the charge, that was embarrassing. Pretentious small minded people that think they know what posh means.

A NO-GO place! The location is really good, the restaurant looks nice and elegant, but that's pretty much it. It started with the partly unfriendly service, we were 6 people (2 couples and 2 toddlers 2.5 and 4 years old), the food came quickly, but it didn't have any taste. The chef doesn't use any salt or pepper. I had a chicken fillet with cous-cous (dry and no taste), my 4 year old daughter had chicken nuggets with french fries ( the french fries were sour, like they were dipped in vinegar before or fried in the fish pan and the nuggets looked like schnitzel and didn't have any kind of seasoning, not even salt, and this was from the kids menu!), my husband had a meat pizza, with literally no tomato sauce on it! It might of been in the same room with tomatoes at some point, but that's pretty much it. And during all this, the cleaning lady was mopping the floor all around us, us having the chloride smell in our faces! One of the main servers listened to us and was sorry (they took the fries out from the bill), we weren't upset with the servers, but they should reconsider keeping the chef! And all this costed around 40 euros. The food definitely isn't worth the money! The place has potential but if the food isn't good, the location doesn't matter anymore!

Nice location, where we spent last 2 hours before our flight was leaving. Sunchairs and food at the beach is at good price for a beach club. If you park your car on their parking lot, you get the parking fee as reduction on your bill. Showers are available. Unfortunately there are not a lot toilets for the amount of people. Everything is very new. I really hope they do their best to keep it all in shape - we will check when we come back. The service is not well organized. They have a bell at each parasol. Unfortunately no one reacted - neither when we were ringing the bell, nor when we waved our hands. In avarage it took us 30 min get a waiter - for ordering drinks, ordering food and finally for getting the bill. So really nice location and atmosphere, but still need for improvement.

Amazing place! Great atmosphere, very comfortable beds and the food and cocktails are SO good (and not expensive). Sea is very clear and beautiful blue colour. Have been on the island since 2019 and this is the best beach club I have been to, highly recommended!

Very nice beach bar! They have really nice beds on the beach and the food we had was delicious. Unfortunately the service was a bit slow and the communication between them not very good. We wanted to order something and we told 4 different people and they came after half an hour to take the order. I understand it was packed but that means they should hire more people. Other than that we had a nice experience and I would go again!

We had a great time, definitely recommended earlier under umbrella and after 15 it’s busy with good vibes. 100% burger is the man there ! Cheers

Don't let the rave beach music dissuade you from visiting Cicada. The food is excellent - more "fine dining" than many beach front eateries. Great portions - For lunch, two of us shared the ceviche starter and shrimp with orzo main and we were pretty full. Drinks prices are slightly higher than their neighbours (+1€ for a beer), but I think well worth it. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. Whoever is running this place knows exactly what they are doing!
