Cova Suites Mykonos - Elia beach

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE COMMENT - it is long but it will save you from making a costly mistake… We had a horrendous stay at Cova Suites. Months later, we are still talking about it as the worst hotel stay we ever had, ever. Check-in was an awful experience. We arrived at 2:30 pm and were told the room was “almost ready”. After we waited for half an hour and the room was still not ready, we decided to go to the beach in the meantime. The deputy manager let us change clothes behind the reception and I still regret accepting: the place was filthy as the rests from the breakfast were still all over the place. Worse: the ORANGES for the breakfast were stored in the staff’s BATHROOM (yes, the entire oranges, not the pressed ones - I could not believe it). The room itself was not clean at check in - there were some dubious “crisps” on the mini-sofa, used condom on the terrace and one behind the sofa (see photo). From the onset, the air conditioning unit in our (rather very expensive) suite’s bedroom was broken and we were told that it was fine since the one in the living room was properly functioning… it turned out it was not okay and we had a terrible first night as it was way too hot. After that, we demanded many times that the unit to be repaired we be changed rooms but the deputy manager kept avoiding the question and promising us a solution that never came (see photos). We had to contact Hotels.com (on which we booked the hotel) - unfortunately, they could not help us much as the hotel management provided very uncooperative with them too (see photos). On a side not deputy manager (Nadia) is creepy and kept showing up at our room (even late at night) and calling me on my phone asking if everything was right - it was fine at the beginning but quickly started to make me uncomfortable. P.S.: to hotel management: I took good notes of the answer you posted as a reply to my comment and all the idiotic, over the top falsehoods you have written about me. This is typical of hotel owners trying to throw dirt at a guest as a revenge for the latter posting a legitimate negative comment. Please be advised however that the content of your answer is defamatory and I may file a criminal complaint with the local authorities.

First of all you can say that this view advertised on the website looks nice, but doesnt even show a fraction of the real beauty when you stand there. The view alone is worth half the price, especially at night. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and is also a dream. The manager of the Suites should also be particularly emphasized, because she was always available, took care of everything imaginable ( shuttle , taxi, room facilities etc.) and there were never any complications such as delays, no matter what time. For example if there was a lack of food at breakfast, the misunderstanding was quickly resolved. You could definitely enjoy the time , just have to say that because there are no supermarkets, kiosks or the like in the area, it would probably be smarter to rent a car if you want to fill up your fridge yourself, but that is also part of the services there. So I can only recommend this accommodation, this is how you imagine vacation!

First of all: the Location of the Hotel is very beautyful, you have a great view of Elia Beach and the other Resorts located at the mountain. We stayed at the Hotel for 1 Week and it felt like heaven, It was very clean, the pool was very nice and of course the service by Nadja was perfekt. She was always very polite and helped us as good as possible with every wish we had. Therefore thank you very much Nadja for the wonderful stay at Cova Suites Mykonos! One thing to notice: at Elia Beach there is no food Market located, therefore you need to rent a car or order a Taxi to get some stuff like water or snacks.

Me and my family had a wonderful stay at the Cova Mykonos Hotel. The staff was really available, helpful and polite. If you like a private and intimate hotel on Elia Beach, with just a few residents, and a high quality stay you should chose this hotel !

What a wonderful experienced we had staying at this hotel in Mykonos. The minute we got we got out of our Taxi, our host Nicholas was waiting for us in the parking lot and walked us through the office where he told us about where to go and what to avoid while staying in Mykonos. He had already a map with circles where he personally recommended his favorites places where we can eat, beaches, as well as sights to see. We personally felt wowed as this type of service is unique and rarely seen in any other hotels I stayed in the world. This Suite is perfectly located with 15 to 20 minutes to the action. Aside from the service, I loved that all the rooms are facing the pool and the beach. From our room we open the door and the pool was only 5 steps with spectacular sea views. Our room was very clean and the bathroom is very artsy and lovely. In the morning we had a delicious breakfast brought outside of our room by Nicholas to enjoy it as we watch the panoramic views of the beach. We were very happy we came to Mykonos but even more happy to have stayed in this Hotel from the phenomenal and personal service we were provided. As an American living in Miami, I def look forward to coming back to Mykonos and stay in this Suite again.

The host was an amazing friendly man (Luka) we talked a lot with him and he helps with everything. The hotel was beautiful with a perfect view over Elia beach, everything was very clean and the breakfast was delicious. Thanks for everything!

Luka the hotel manager is a gem. He made our experience that much better and is such a good soul. Breakfast every morning was delicious and we would be happy to come back. The location is away from the city but good if you don't want that type of vibe/atmosphere. It also feels more private/intimate as there are only 6 rooms on site.

I just spent a week in this hotel and I had a wonderful experience. The view is amazing, it’s a quiet place, rooms are really nice and tidy. Breakfast is good and there is a large range of choices. Luka, the manager, was really nice and helpful. I would 100% recommend this place and I’ll come back for sure. Thanks again!
