The chef went to the market in the morning and brought fresh vegetables and fish.
The meal was delicious, our best meal in all Crete!
The staff was super friendly and nice.
Very recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in Mochlos for a week and Dimitris was our favourite Taverna. Interesting food with a slightly different take on Cretan classics all served by incredibly friendly staff. What a wonderful find! Do not miss the shrimp saganaki, in fact order double :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We walked past this place on the first few days of our holiday as it does not overlook the bay. Do not let this stop you.
Such a wonderful place owned by chef Dimitri and his lovely French wife. The food is the best in the village, simple and flavoursome with the finest ingredients. We have been back the last two nights and had spectacular meals both times.
The spicy king prawns are mouth watering, apparently ginger is part of the recipe. We ate these both nights.
Fish cooked with griddled vegetables so light and flavoursome it makes my mouth water thinking about it.
We are heading back for the slow cooked lamb today!’
The wine list is small but good quality and very reasonably priced.
You are in for a treat. Enjoy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were attracted by the domestic character of the taverna‘s design and the charming decoration, before the warm and loving service, the excellent food and deliciously prepared dishes exceeded any expectation. The Greek owner and his French wife even have a sense for some distinguished Cretan wines, including some „Orange“ ones!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent sea food. Squid was very fresh. Special of the day spicy octopus in white wine very pleasing. Nice place and staff. PS- take a spare sweater or blanket if you can as it can be windy for the outer tables.
