Wegen der Zerstörung von Kleinasien kam 1924 eine große Anzahl von Flüchtlingen in Piräus an und die neuen Einwohner beschlossen, hier eine Kirche zubauen. Die Kirche bietet einen sehr schönen Blick auf den Hafen, die Kreuzfahrtschiffe und die Fähren. Leider meist verschlossen. The Church of the Virgin Mary of Life- Ekklisia Zoodochos Pigi- Εκκλησία Ζωοδόχος Πηγή. Because of the destruction of Asia Minor, a large number of refugees arrived in Piraeus in 1924 and the new residents decided to build a church here. The church offers a very nice view of the harbor, the cruise ships and the ferries. Unfortunately mostly closed.
