Χτίστηκε το 1928 με πρωτοβουλία της Ελένης Μαμάη ως μία μικρή εκκλησία, η οποία άρχισε να ανοικοδομείται στη σημερινή της μορφή από το 1956. Οι εργασίες ολοκληρώθηκαν τον Νοέμβριο του 1973 και τότε έγιναν τα εγκαίνια του ναού. Ο ναός του Αγίου Νείλου στην Καλλίπολη είναι ο μοναδικός ναός αφιερωμένος στον συγκεκριμένο άγιο με καταγωγή από την Κυνουρία ο οποίος είχε ζήσει σαν ασκητής στο Άγιο Όρος και μετά τον θάνατο του τα οστά του ανέβλυζαν μύρο. Σε αυτόν τον ναό υπάρχει μέρος των λειψάνων του, ενώ τα υπόλοιπα έχουν μεταφερθεί στο Άγιο Όρος.
