Η αρχική μονή είχε δημιουργηθεί στο ίδιο σημείο από τον 11ο ή κατά άλλους από το 17ο αιώνα. Η εκκλησία με τη σημερινή της μορφή χτίστηκε κατά τα έτη 1868-1875 στα θεμέλια της παλαιάς Μονής.
The beautiful, historic church of Piraeus, which was renovated very recently in an impressive way. Saint Spyridon is the protector of Piraeus and its patron. The original monastery was created in the same place from the 11th or according to others from the 17th century. The church in its current form was built during the years 1868-1875 on the foundations of the old monastery.

Ο Ι.Ν. Agios Spyridon is a landmark of Piraeus. It has excellent architecture and a rich history that is worth discovering. The evening was an overnight experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really impressive Greek Orthodox church that has been played a very important role in the religion history of Piraeus. It is the third temple on the same location that has been constructed. The building was completed in 1897. Worth a visit if you're in the area.
