★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place was quite nice, but the food itself was a mockery. After telling the waiter that the bread was moldy, he replied that it was a natural color and that it was supposed to look like that. Burger worse than the cheapest fast food, with mortadella inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easily the most homely, welcoming place that I’ve been to in Greece - El Greco is a quaintly decorated Greek taverna that simply exudes tradition and warmth the moment you step through the doors, and serves up scrumptious plates (or humongous platters, rather) of classic Greek cuisine. The meagre plates at fine dining establishments got you down? Not to worry - the portion size here will leave you too full to walk, and that’s even before the lovely host plies you with homemade Greek yoghurt and custard-filled phyllo pastry.
Run by a genial and jovial dad, with the wizard of a chef-mom in the kitchen, and their friendly and chirpy son waiting tables, this place has all the elements of a warm welcome home.
Don’t come here if you expect to be amazed by surgical service and clean tiny plates, but if you want the homeliest, warmest welcome to Greece and her delectable delights, this is the place to be!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El Greco offers quality Greek cuisine paired with warm and welcoming service. There was one waiter when we visited and he was very attentive and helpful. The food came out quickly and was very fresh and flavorful. The restaurant is a quick walk away from the Acropolis exit and had nice open air seating. We are happy we chose this place after our long walk around the Acropolis.
