About
Elegant roof top bar and restaurant on the 5th floor of Herodion Hotel with breathtaking views of the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, Point-a offers an extensive range of alluring cocktails and serves delicious Mediterranean cuisine with Greek traditional influences. Originally designed by Michalis Kaimakamis with detailing from George Skarmoutsos [2FG] and ALIAS furniture set on a wooden deck floor, the relaxed ambiance of Point-a becomes a sophisticated and elegant dining experience for its guests. During the summer and early autumn months the beautiful terrace offers an al fresco location. In April 2019, Point-a was renovated by Wim De Mul and Stavropoulou Architects to reveal an even more spacious bar area offering 360° unobstructed views to the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. Foodies and revelers can enjoy a variety of seating options including a 7m-long bar, relaxed lounge chairs, and intimate table arrangement – all set so as to capture the spectacular views.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really bad experience at Point A. I would give 5 stars if I was only rating the ambiance and the view. However the dining experience was awful. We waited 30min to get the menus and then had to ask 3 times if we could order, they kept saying yes but were never coming to the table. Then, after waiting for another 30min we finally got our dishes, but they forgot about the wine, we once again had to ask for it and waited 15min to be served. The dishes looked beautiful for photos but were very bland and simple. Really not worth the price even with the view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was fine and the waiters were polite and friendly, but you come here for the view and the experience rather than the cuisine. The restaurant is only a few hundred meters from the Acropolis, which makes for an amazing view (and sunset photos!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would recommend going to this restaurant for the view first of all. Then comes the food (I can recommend octopus carpaccio, green salad with strawberries, fava tart, fish carpaccio with green sorbet).
Sea food pasta is not really coming with sea food, you can see only small pieces, which is not enough to call it a sea food pasta. Poached cod was ok, but nothing special. No vegetarian options for main course.
The service is not very professional, you have to ask several times before you get what you want. The staff doesn’t really know the menu very well and don’t seem to be attentive: for a vegetarian they brought smoked eel after we specifically asked not to include it in the dish (it’s a decoration on fava tart).
The wine selection is quite small.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location is Awesome, good food and choice of wine, splendid views of acropolis especially the Sun set times, it is on the Top of 5th Floor.
Wonderful Atmosphere.
All this is Wonderful. But the service was appalling, the service was so Bad despite all the Good things, the service goes down.
Wouldn’t definitely recommend anyone going there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ what a view to dine with the acropolis just right there in the background. if you go for dinner you can watch it lit up as it gets dark and it's stunning.
we were there on a windy day which wasnt ideal but the restaurant had warm blankets for everyone.
the food was delicious, so well presented and loads of flavour. we had a beautiful bottle of red and everything was priced very reasonably.
