★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was advised to us so we drove into the mountain town and were breath-taken by its beauty and charm immediately! Its a beautiful modern, but looking authentic village of cabin style houses. The property has 2 swimming pools, restaurant serving very tasty food, child play area, stunning scenery of the mountains and the rooms were delightful, clean and very romantic. We were really impressed by the price for such an experience. Very reasonable and well worth it. This was the highlight of our trip. I would love to return. Delicious breakfast too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is amazing hidden in the middle of trees and greenery, top quality for local food and the service is excellent. I have not stayed there overnight but will do that as soon as I can. The surroundings are superb and it is the ideal base to go tracking in the Mountain and gorges. Don't tell anyone but it is like paradise on earth!!! Can't wait to stay there as soon as possible. Ace place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really enjoyed our stay here. The apartments provide amazing views of the mountains and are very well designed to provide you with privacy. They have a lovely fresh water pool and amazing walks to do. The service was excellent and we will be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed our stay very much, the view is nice and the food at the restaurant was one of the best of our whole trip in Crete. Playground inside and outside is great & really useful with a baby.
Unfortunately the weather was not that good and the solar panels were not working so we had 2 days out of 3 without hot water. We warned them on the 1st day, they said it was fixed, but didn’t work the day after.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are here the forth year in a row and have never been disappointed. The cottages are well equipped, clean, cozy with a great view. The food is fantastic and goes with an excellent wine list. Foremost, the staff is superfriendly, helpful and very professional. The area is very interesting as well, lots of hikes nearby or within a short drive. There are two pools if you want just to relax. I don't cite Arnold Scharzenegger alot but here I do: "We will be back".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eleonas Country Village is a peaceful, private, and comfortable place in southern Crete. The cottages are spacious and clean. You can rent one with a hot tub/jacuzzi, which I wish we had done! This spot is a great place to unplug. The owner and staff are all so friendly and welcoming and speak perfect English. The food at the in-house restaurant is delicious. There is hiking and cycling nearby. We cycled from Eleonas in Zaros to Gortys to Matala to Phaestos in a day. I think Eleonas Country Village should be rated as a four star hotel, not a three star. Highly recommend and we’re pretty picky!
