Worth the 20 minute drive up from Zaros for the views and feeling of peace.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The roud to the monastery is poor quality, the infrastructure is under construction. Any way it is nice and quite place. We tried hiking, is was cool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The monastery is modern built. Rather, even under construction and for quite some time. The place is very beautiful. From far away the monastery’s structure seems like toys. When you approach it, it’s difficult to evaluate, because there is a construction site, dust, construction waste around.
