★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A unique museum that houses a huge collection of 14.078 ancient inscriptions. It is located next to the National Archaeological Museum and is not very big. Tickets are inexpensive and you can admire impressive artifacts such as the goblet of Pericles. A hidden gem of Athens that definitely worth a visit. It is very close to Omonoia and Victoria metro station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took forever to find as thought the building was a staff entrance for the National Archaeological Museum plus Google maps has it further up the road (which I have submitted it is not) it was interesting but only went as got this on a deal ticket for 4 museum for 15 euros. I wouldn't have gone otherwise

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Right next to the archeological museum, a collection of ancient inscriptions. They explain the development of Greek alphabet and its role in development of the Greek civilization. Several vary interesting objects on display: an inscribed altar that is mentioned in Thucydides, and an Athenian order of battle for the Persian campaign.
