★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Considering that it is a museum dedicated to people interested to byzantine art, it is extremely well made! It is arranged in the old mansion of a wealthy collector of byzantine art mainly from the Ionian islands.
That said, the collection is extremely rich, interesting and well exposed. Definitely worth a visit for people who appreciate this kind of art.

Built and inaugurated by the famous German Architect Ziller Ernest who left a significant number of neo-classical buildings all over Greece, experienced a second very important life, as the house and the treasury of the collection of the famous Banker Loverdos. The collection consists of very rare and fine works of the Byzantine period. Try not to miss it. For now entrance is free so do not miss the opportunity...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This newly opened museum ... a branch of the Byzantine and Christian Museum was originally the mansion of Ernest Ziller, the architect who shaped the City of Athens and later the residence of banker Andreas Loverdou ... is a unique gem in the making!?
After years of restoration work, this historic building that houses many important exhibits still needs some finishing touches but even so it's truly special and I really enjoyed each minute of my visit earlier today (31/05/2021). ?
I look forward to returning soon and giving it my 5th star. In the meantime this museum is going on my must visit list for the City of Athens. ???
