Fabulous building, an easy walk away from Omonia Square. Once inside, the sculpture and statuary are nothing short of astonishing in many cases and the jewellery and gold vessels are stunning. If you're in any wayinterested in the cultural side of Athens, this should be on your list of visits to be made.

It’s a MUST. Definitely worth to pay the ticket. It was €12. Unbelievable the amount of material that you can find. It also has an Egyptian area that has so many interesting things such as mommies, papyrus, etc. Also a computer dated from BC and moon rocks brought by Apollo 11.

This museum is an absolute must see when visiting Athens. Just know, it has a ton in there to see and read..... I'd highly recommend planning an entire day here so that you can read everything. Also, the informational signs are in both Greek and English which was super cool.

Wow! We went on a rainy day with my family who was visiting Athens. I honestly loved it. I think I will go back. Tickets are free if you are under 24(or 25/26 can't remember) I enjoyed staying there, they actually have a great variety of statues and even a greater collection of gold objects. It is all amazingly organized and they even have an egyptian collection too. I am literally amazed! This is one of the best museums i have ever Visited. I Visited quite a few especially when I went to London in Uk. Great! Very great!

The National Archaeological Museum of Athens is dedicated to ancient Greek art. Greek culture, Greek art basically the Greek history. It fascinating and artefacts from the Greek mythology are the museum’s magnet. The kids will have fun spotting the mythological kings, creatures, gods and goddesses. It is a cultural visit not to miss out for a non Greek.

Great museum with plenty of Ancient Greek artifacts. Visit the cafeteria on the lower level to see the beautiful garden. I spent 3 hours there without a tour guide or audio tour but you could easily spend more or less depending on your interests. To things to see are: Tombs of the Kerameikos, The Horse and Jockey, The Mask of Agamemnon and the The Antikythera Mechanism. Cost 12€ to enter.

This is, by far, the best museum I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. It has an impressive entrance, it's the perfect size she the top floor is staggering. The juxtaposition of the Parthenon on the hill while you look at the marbles is one I'll never forget. It's very clear, standing in front of the gaps in the museum, that the marbles should be in Athens, not London. Make sure you have a Greek coffee at the museum, it's sublime.

This was quite a beautiful museum. It costs €12 per adult, students under 25yrs are €5. It took us about 4 hours to work through the whole two story building. It has so many beautiful statues, weapons, vases and jewelry going all the way back to 3000 BC.
