Incredibly beautiful place especially in mid-November when autumn is in its dozens with different colors dominating and reflected in the waters of the lake!

m	martha zorzou on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Πολύ ωραία θέα με γραφικά χωριά σκαρφαλωμένα στα γύρω βουνά ανάμεσα στα ελατα και τα πλατάνια.Μεγαλο μειονέκτημα που δεν υπάρχει κάποιο καφέ ή ταβέρνα για να καθίσει κάποιος. Επίσης μεγάλη προσοχή θέλει ο δρόμος γιατί έχει πολλές κατολισθήσεις και σε αρκετά σημεία είναι ιδιαίτερα κακός. Very nice view with picturesque villages perched in the surrounding mountains between the marsh and the plane trees. A great disadvantage that there is no café or tavern to sit down. Also, the road wants great attention because it has many landslides and in many places it is particularly bad.

The project has two elements, the dam that has a height of 127 m and a lenght of 640 m, and a tunnel (3.5m diameter) that goes along 30 kilometers, and drains water to the Mornos reservoir. The Evinos reservier was made to support the main reservoir in Mornos, that is responsible for the water supply of the area of Athens. The artificial lake, created by the Evinos Dam, is a surprise that creates an attractive natural landscape. The growing hotel infrastructure in the area and the relatively good road network that leads to Karpenisi make the lake and Mount Nafpaktia an increasingly popular destination for weekends and beyond.
