★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Κοντά στο φράγμα Πουρναρίου βρισκεται η ιερά μόνη Θεοτόκιου αφιερωμένη στην κοιμηση της Θεοτόκου. Βρίσκεται στους πρόποδες του λόφου Πέτα και είναι γυναικείο μοναστήρι πολύ καλά διατηρημένο χαρη στις μοναχές που μένουν εκεί. Σήμερα γιορτάστηκε η κοιμηση της Θεοτόκου με μεγάλη λαμπρότητα και πλήθος πιστών προσετρεξε για να τιμηση και να προσευχηθει στην Παναγία μας. Η ατμόσφαιρα ήταν κατανυκτικη μέσα εορταστικό και πανέμορφο φυσικό περιβάλλον. Η ίδρυση της μονής ανάγεται στον 14αιωνα, στο διάβα οτων αιώνων πολλές φορές καταστράφηκε και ανακαινιστηκε. Τελευταια φορά όπως γράφει η επιγραφή στον τρουλο ανακαινιστηκε το1874. Ο ναός είναι διακοσμημένος με τέμπλο και εικόνες του 1870 σημαντικό κειμήλιο της μονής αποτελεί ο χρυσοκεντητος επιτάφιος 1643 και δύο παλαιές λείψανο θήκες Αγίων (η καρά του Αγίου Τρύφωνα και του Αγίου Ιωάννου του ελεήμονος) .Σήμερα δύο μοναχές διακονουν την μόνη με πολύ ζήλο ώστε να διατηρείται σε άριστη κατάσταση η μόνη.
Near the Pournari Dam lies the only Holy Mother of God dedicated to the sleeping of the Mother of God. It is located at the foot of Peta hill and is a well-preserved female monastery thanks to the nuns who stay there. Today was celebrated the Feast of the Theotokos with great splendor and a large number of believers urged to honor and pray to Our Lady. The atmosphere was chilling in a festive and gorgeous natural environment. The founding of the monastery dates back to the 14th century, over many centuries it was destroyed and renovated. Last time as the inscription on the dome reads, it was renovated in 1874. The church is decorated with an icon and icons from the 1870s. The important relic of the monastery is the gold-embroidered epitaph 1643 and two old relics pockets of Saints (the carol of Saint Tryphon and St. John the Merciful). is kept in excellent condition alone.
