Fira Backpackers Place - Greece

Room was good, our stuff was save, staff was very friendly and helpful. We unfortunately had a very unpleasant ‘roommate’ which made our night there pretty brutal. All in all, great location. But maybe not for the price. Thin walls could hear everything.

I stayed in the mixed 6 dorm for 4 nights. This was my first time staying in a hostel and it was great! I met a lot of great people at this hostel and we went out for adventures around Santorini. I definitely recommend spending a few dollars more a night for the 6 dorm instead of 10 dorm. The 6 dorm rooms are a lot nicer and has a balcony. Shower was a bit of a hassle because you had to hold it and it was cold, but I didn't expect it to be any better because of the price of the place. Bed was a bit uncomfortable, but if you drink one beer before bed you'll sleep great. They have a vending machine that sells them. When you check in they give you lots of local info which is great. The have cooking facilities and they have a supermarket which sells inexpensive food about 5 mins away. Staff was very friendly. They let you store your stuff after you check out at 11. You can come back and claim it whenever you are ready to leave. Overall great experience. Meeting good people weighed my review. If i didn't meet nice people I would have given this a score of 3.5.

The place is good. Very near to bus stop so it's easy to get to places from here. Lot of good options for eating and partying around. Beds are little hard and no curtains. But common room is good. There is a pool but it's very small. It's cheap as well so if you are traveling on low budget, this is a good option.

I booked directly through the hostel. The Greek government randomly tested me upon arrival and quarantined me/my travel partner for 14 days so all our plans were ruined. ALL hostels/airlines/hotels refunded me except Fira Backpackers.

They wanted money in advance and they charged me two times. I had back my money, but it was stressful. Also, they insisted to book a place in a private bus, saying that wasn't other way to get to the hotel, but , when we arrived, there was the pubblic bus, ten times cheaper.

Air conditioning in the rooms, vents in the restrooms, private lockers, personal lamps and electrical outlets, and clotheslines on the balcony -- add to that the location, friendly and helpful staff, and common area and kitchen, and this backpackers hostel has got everything the spendthrifty traveler could need and more.

Great hostel met some cool people and staff were friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the common area is close to the rooms which on Monday night was so noisy that sleeping was impossible. The poor night shift asked the Canadians to keep it down numerous times but some people have no consideration. All in all fantastic place laundry facilities and vending machine on site.

Cheap, good location (near Fira Bus Stop), friendly staff, I could leave my luggage before check in time (even after checking out!). I met some friendly travelers here.
