★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Value for money is hard to beat for this family-run hotel situated right on the beach. Location suffers a little sure to a big rusty sports center right on the side but the hotel itself has a good beach, really nice people running it, is spotless clean, has big rooms with comfortable beds, air conditioning, good wi-fi, good breakfast and quiet surroundings. It is also well placed to visit various beaches in the area, particularly the awesome Balos beach which, despite the logistic difficulties, you have to see if you're in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at Galini Beach hotel for 4 days and loved it! It is a small family run hotel and the hospitality of the staff makes you feel at home. The location of the hotel is amazing - it’s away from huge touristic hotspots, located in a small village with many nice cafes and restaurants. The beach in front of the hotel is nice but I recommend taking a short drive to Falassarna beach or the famous Balos lagoon for the softest golden sand and calm turquoise waters. Chania, a lovely Venetian-style city is 35min away.
Our room was very clean and nice, the highlight was a huge balcony with a direct sea view (you could hear the waves rolling at night with an open window). Breakfast was great as well, offering a diverse selection of savory and sweet dishes as well as fruits. We were welcomed at the breakfast terrace every morning by the staff and were even offered to get some custom dishes.
Overall, I have the warmest and best memories of our stay at the Galini Beach hotel and highly recommend it for those seeking a calm and relaxing holiday on Crete or those looking for the perfect base to explore this beautiful island from.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Galini beach hotel is a gem, hosts are very welcoming, making us a hot drink and giving us some cake on our late night arrival. The room was spacious and clean with a balcony with a table and some chairs. The breakfasts were delicious as pictured. You can easily access other beaches so is a good base for exploring. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you're visiting crete!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Galini Beach Hotel was booked originally for 2 nights but then arriving at the hotel, we decided to stay here for our last night. The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and the beach is right on the property - there are deck chairs and umbrellas for hotel guests. The rooms are of a high quality, very clean, excellent air con and showers. The only aspect of the hotel that is lacking is a little character, why not play some music in the lobby or have a bit more going on in the dining area outside of breakfast? All in all, a very a very nice hotel, a little sterile but I would happily return or recommend!
