The problem we had was being on the first floor next to the staircase. It was so loud! Impossible to sleep through all the noise of people going up and down the stairs.

Nice location: within easy walking distance of the town center. + The better of the two hotels in Napflio we've tried so far. + We lucked out with parking, and found a slot right across the street from the hotel. + Friendly staff. - Pillows were rather hard. - Breakfast wasn't quite as good as we'd had in Athens - but we'd been spoiled, and it included eggs cooked to order and home-cooked pies.

We did not try their breakfast but there was a sweet smell of homemade cakes when we got to the hotel. The room and bathroom were very nicely decorated and the bed was soft. The balcony was a lovely spot to relax and I can only recommend.
A	Ana Stavropulos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was really nice stay in Nauplio especially after our disappointment stay at another hotel Amimoni, where we paid 40 euros more for the old room with ancient aircondition, noisy fridge and cockroaches! After all this we found Gambello hotel and we loved it! Nice renovated rooms with nice interior! For sure we will be back! The only disadvantage was not enough good soindproofing of the building, we heard everything, especially walking one floor up.

A	Anastasia Alexander on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This small family-run hotel in charming Nafplio was perfect for our week-long stay. The elegant period house is in pristine condition and the rooms are well appointed with stylish modern decor. The staff are amazingly helpful. My daughter contracted Covid just before our planned stay, and we had to postpone our trip. Lisa was super helpful and rebooked our dates at the last minute at no extra cost. The breakfasts served in a quiet inner courtyard are delicious and the breakfast ladies bend over backwards to accommodate. There are homemade Greek pastries and delicious omelettes and Greek yoghurt, fresh fruit. The location is fabulous too, near to the sea in a quiet end of town with the best wine bar featuring stunning Greek wines just next door. All in all, we were delighted, and the only thing that is perhaps missing is a sea view which this hotel does not feature. But in terms of valuer for money, you can't beat this. Thanks too to Thanassis and Costa - you all made our stay wonderful!
